About

Town of Bernalillo campground on Highway 550 along the Rio Grande, about 15 miles north of Albuquerque, with views of the Sandia Mountains and access to the adjacent Coronado Historic Site. Developed RV sites (50-amp, 20/30-amp, or 20-amp electric), sheltered and non-developed tent camping, and dry lot parking. Bathroom facilities and a reservable group shelter ($60, includes 10 vehicles). Rates double during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Cancellations require 30+ days' notice or forfeit one night's stay. The town numbers 11 developed RV sites, seven of them with water, and sells several tent categories it does not number, so the full capacity is not published. Developed RV stays are limited to 14 nights and tent stays to seven. The north remote area is closed from November to March.
