Halifax Regional Municipality's closest campground to downtown Halifax, on the shores of Lake Charles within Shubie Park. Municipally owned land with a contracted operator running day-to-day campground operations. Access to the Shubenacadie Canal for canoeing and wooded hiking trails. 2026 season runs May 15 through October 12.
