About
Callaghan Lake Park includes a small frontcountry campground at Callaghan Lake and in the day-use area.
The campground is at the end of the access road. It is accessible by high-clearance vehicle during snow-free months (usually from mid-June to the end of October). There are eight campsites, which are suitable for tents or campers.
Campsites are available exclusively on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are not available for this campground. BC Parks does not charge any fees for camping here.
Camping is only allowed at the designated frontcountry campground, to prevent encounters with grizzly bears and to protect grizzly habitat. Camping is not allowed anywhere else in the park, including at Cirque Lake.
This is an informal campground with very limited facilities. The closest store is in Whistler, approximately 20 km away. There is a single pit toilet for the entire campground.
There are no garbage facilities, so always pack out what you pack in. Store garbage and other wildlife attractants securely, especially when you are away from your site.
Each campsite has its own fire ring. Campfires are allowed only in fire rings, and only when no fire ban is in place.
BC Parks is conducting an ongoing, long-term revegetation project in the area around the campground. Please keep out of closed areas around the campsites and stick to marked trails.
The road is closed to vehicles and is groomed for Nordic activities.
