About

This equestrian campground is found in Strawberry Provincial Recreation Area, 45 km southwest of Longview on Hwy. 40. On the banks of the crystal clear Highwood River, this campground offers spacious sites with equestrian users in mind. There are hitching posts and loading ramps in the campground, and easy access to trails in the vicinity. Bring your horses and explore the backcountry when the crowds have gone home.

Equestrian campgrounds are intended for campers bringing a horse. Please only book at an equestrian campground if you are using it for equestrian purposes as there are only a few campgrounds available to these users.

Operated by Kananaskis Campground Services Inc.

Water: Please bring your own water. Water from the hand pump is not safe for consumption or use and should only be used to put out fires.

Sewage: The nearest sewage disposal station is at Highwood House Day Use Area . Check the full list of Sewage Disposal Stations in Kananaskis.
