About

This large campground is found in Rock Lake Provincial Park. It is 7 km west of Hinton on Hwy. 16, 40 km northwest on Hwy. 40 and 35 km west on a gravel access road. Here there are a variety of well-spaced sites with trees for privacy. Enjoy awe-inspiring views of Alberta's Northern Rockies while fishing, boating, mountain biking or hiking. Staging areas for the Wildland and Willmore Wilderness Park are accessible here, including hitching rails and corrals for equestrian users.

Operated by West Fraser Mills-Fox Creek Development Association.

Reservations: Mix of reservable and first-come, first-served campsites. The campground is managed by West Fraser Mills. Visit their website for reservation information.

Firewood: Firewood is available.

Water: Please bring your own water. Water from the hand pump is not safe for consumption or use and should only be used to put out fires.

Equestrian: Parking is available at the Willmore Staging Area. Equestrian users pay an additional fee/night/horse. There are four large equestrian sites with corrals and 14 smaller equestrian sites with 1 corral, tie stalls and pens.
