About

Camp in the southern Rockies in Racehorse Provincial Recreation Area. Racehorse is a peaceful creek side campground perfect for a quiet getaway. With unserviced sites and basic amenities, it's ideal for tenting or self-sufficient RV camping. Surrounded by forest and close to the Livingstone Range, this area offers beautiful views, access to nearby hiking, and opportunities for fishing or wildlife watching. It’s a great base for exploring the southern Rockies in a laid-back, natural setting.

Firewood: Firewood is not available. Help stop the spread of forest pests, Dutch elm disease and emerald ash borer. Plan to bring or buy firewood locally to burn on site.

Water: Please bring your own water. Water from the hand pump/tap is not safe for consumption or use and should only be used to put out fires.
