About

Deadhorse Meadows is a small unmaintained staging area located on the Eastern side of the logging road entering the park from the Two Lakes corridor. Note that the road leading into the park is unmaintained, rough, and crosses very rugged terrain. The staging area is a large open space and does not have any facilities on-site. Visitors are expected to follow the ‘leave no trace’ principle by leaving with everything they bring with them. Equestrian users are permitted to camp in the staging area, be advised that there are no facilities on-site.

Random camping is permitted elsewhere in the park except within 1 km of Deadhorse Meadows and the Kakwa Falls parking area.

Water source: None.
