About

This small provincial recreation area along the western shore of Cold Lake has a campground with 15 and 30 amp powered sites. Cold Lake is a large lake on Alberta’s eastern border, and a popular spot for lake activities. Bird watchers will find this a great location for songbirds such as the wood warbler, flycatcher and thrush in the treetops, as well as waterfowl along the shoreline.

Reservations can be made 90 days in advance of arrival date.

Firewood: Firewood available on site in the day use area. Please follow directional signs to firewood compounds.

Water: Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.
