Elk River Campground is found in Elk River Provincial Recreation Area, 17 km southwest of Lodgepole on Hwy. 620 and 47 km west on Elk River Road. A small campground with large, well spaced sites nestled in a mixed forest. Some sites have a view of the river. There is nearby access to OHV and horse trails, though they are not permitted inside the recreation area.

Reservations can be made from Feb 3 – Oct 15 by calling 780-865-2154 on Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The reservation fee is non-refundable
Firewood: No charge firewood available at campground.
Water: Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination. As a result, Alberta Parks recommends that you bring your own drinking water.
