About
Explore the badlands from the Tolman West Campground. Large, open sites are well suited to RVs. Paddle through the badlands or fish along the river. You cannot access this campground through the Dry Island Buffalo Jump day use area near Huxley. The campground is located on the west side of the Red Deer River on Highway 585. It is across the river from the Tolman East Campground .
Operated by Starland County.
Boat launch open year-round. Vehicle access into the park is not available from early September to mid-May.
Visitors should exercise caution; there is a community gun range located in close proximity to this campground.
Only exact cash or cheque are accepted as payment in this location.
Firewood: Firewood is not available. Help stop the spread of forest pests, Dutch elm disease and emerald ash borer. Plan to bring or buy firewood locally to burn on site.
Water: Potable water is available at the campground.
