Cabin in the Woods

Cabin in the Woods is one of Wisconsin's accessible cabins for people with disabilities, at Mirror Lake State Park. It's a one-bedroom cabin with a kitchen (stovetop, microwave, and refrigerator), central heat and air conditioning, and a fully accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. It's furnished with two adjustable hospital beds, a patient lift with a sling, and a shower wheelchair, and has a screened porch, grill, and outdoor fire ring. This was the first barrier-free cabin built in the Wisconsin State Park System. It sits between sites 131 and 135 in Cliffwood Campground - no separate cabin-only coordinate is published, so the map point shown is this park's own campground location. This park's own page doesn't state a pet policy for this specific cabin. Wisconsin's other accessible cabins that do publish one (Blue Mound, Copper Falls) prohibit pets except certified service animals - call ahead to confirm before bringing a pet.

This cabin is reserved specifically for people with disabilities and their guests, confirmed for up to four consecutive nights and no more than four nights total per year. Wisconsin's nightly cabin rates aren't published in a static table - the rate is shown when you select this cabin during booking - and a $7.95 reservation fee applies on top of it.
