Pere Marquette Lodge's Cabin Rooms, built of original wood and stone about 150 feet from the main lodge overlooking the Illinois River, offer a more private stay than the lodge's ordinary rooms: each freestanding cabin building houses 3 separate guest rooms (no shared common area between them), each with a king or queen bed, a private bathroom, guest-controlled heat and air conditioning, cable TV, a coffee maker, and access to the lodge's pool, hot tub, and sauna. There's no in-room kitchen (a refrigerator is available for $10/night), and pets are allowed outdoors only, not inside the rooms. The lodge's own site doesn't publish how many cabin buildings exist in total.
