About
Four rustic cabins at Housatonic Meadows State Park, sitting right on the Housatonic River - a popular fly-fishing destination. A 14-by-17-foot rustic cabin with two rooms, comfortably sleeping four (up to six), furnished with two sets of bunk beds plus one full-size bed - mattresses are provided, but bring your own linens and pillows. There's electric lighting but no running water, toilet, or shower inside; a bathroom and shower house are nearby. No cooking, open flames, or smoking are allowed inside the cabin, and the primary occupant must be at least 21. None of the four are wheelchair accessible. Pets aren't allowed in or at the cabin, even at parks where pets are welcome on the regular campsites.
Fees
$50/night for Connecticut residents, $60/night for non-residents, per the cabin's own published rate. A $50 refundable security deposit is due at check-in.
Cabins are bookable Friday through Sunday nights only, with a 2-night minimum. The campground's own 2026 booking calendar runs through early September - one of the shorter seasons among Connecticut's cabin parks.
