About the Cowpens National Battlefield Scenic Highway

This is a nine mile highway running from the Town of Cowpens, in Spartanburg County, northward to SC 11 (The Cherokee Foothills National Scenic Byway) in Cherokee County.

The route is designated as SC 110. The southern end has become commercialized in the vicinity of I-85 and the two counties have opened a corporate park at the county line, but the drive offers some unique vistas in the agricultural areas of Miles 3, 4, 5 and 6. This is a good route to take from I-85 if you are visiting the Cowpens National Battlefield.

About this page's facts

The line is the Federal Highway Administration's scenic byways layer (HEPGIS, a snapshot of 2022-06-24, a US government work), cut at the state line and simplified for the map; the length is the line's. The designation is the program's own: the national tiers from FHWA's America's Byways roster, the rest from the layer's designation field. Road conditions, closures and seasonal gates change: check the agency's own page and the state's road conditions before you go.
